The rumored iPhone Neo could become the successor to the iPhone 17e, but Apple has not announced that name or a replacement plan.
ZEERA has heard of four colors being considered: blue, white, yellow and pink. We cannot independently confirm a final palette.
A single rear camera fits the affordable-iPhone idea, though Neo's design remains unverified.
Public reporting still points to an iPhone 18e in spring 2027. Neo could be its eventual marketing name, or simply a concept that never ships.

Updated October 5, 2026. The four-color information above is an early ZEERA tip, not an Apple announcement. The device illustrations accompanying this story are concept renders, not photographs of a confirmed Apple product.
Is iPhone Neo replacing iPhone 17e?
Possibly as a future successor, but there is no evidence of an immediate replacement. Apple released the iPhone 17e in March 2026 and still sells it as its more affordable iPhone. A new phone expected in spring 2027 would follow it in the product cycle rather than erase its current availability.
Reports about that next affordable model use the name iPhone 18e. Calling it “iPhone Neo” would require a separate branding decision that has not been verified. The clearest possibilities are that Apple keeps the 18e name, rebrands the same successor as Neo, or never uses Neo for a shipping iPhone.

iPhone 17e is a real $599 US model with A19, a 48MP Fusion rear camera, MagSafe and 256GB starting storage.
Neo branding, final colors, pricing, camera housing and whether it is identical to the expected 18e.
For the broader timing, see ZEERA's 2026–2027 iPhone roadmap; treat older predictions there as historical rumors where later Apple announcements have superseded them.
What are the four rumored iPhone Neo colors?
ZEERA has received early information pointing to blue, white, yellow and pink. We have not verified production units, official color names or whether all four would reach stores. Apple can test more finishes than it eventually sells.
Familiar choices that could make an entry model feel easy to buy and easy to pair with accessories.
Brighter options that would make a Neo lineup more visibly distinct from the current 17e.
For comparison, Apple's official iPhone 17e announcement lists black, white and soft pink. Apple also introduced the MacBook Neo in four colors, but that does not prove the company plans to use Neo branding on an iPhone. Any images shown here should be labeled “concept render based on rumored colors”.

The case collection above is for currently listed iPhone 18 Pro models. No case fit or MagSafe speed is confirmed for an unannounced iPhone Neo.
Would Neo keep a single rear camera?
A single-camera layout is plausible because the iPhone 17e already uses one rear camera module. Apple calls its 48MP Fusion system “2-in-1” because it can produce an optical-quality 2x view from that sensor; that is not a second physical rear lens.
For Neo, however, the single-camera images in circulation are design concepts. There is no confirmed camera sensor, aperture, image-processing feature or camera-bump measurement. A colorful shell with one lens would create a clear affordable-phone identity, but design logic alone is not a leak.
If Apple keeps one rear camera, buyers should expect fewer lens choices than on a multi-camera iPhone. Wait for real camera samples before judging low-light performance or video quality.
SnapLens Trio above is made for iPhone 18 Pro Max. It is not a Neo accessory, and its fit cannot be inferred from a concept render.
What specs and release date are actually on the table?
For the publicly rumored iPhone 18e, spring 2027 is the reported window. Analyst-based reporting has suggested an A20 chip and 9GB RAM, while a separate display leak points to a 60Hz panel. None of those reports confirms the Neo name, and no Neo price has been substantiated.
17e today: $599 US starting price; A19; 256GB base storage; 6.1-inch display; 48MP single rear module; up to 15W MagSafe/Qi2.
18e reporting: spring 2027, A20, 9GB RAM and a possible 60Hz display are still predictions.
Neo specifically: no verified price, release date, chip, display refresh rate, dimensions or charging ceiling.
Sources: Apple's iPhone 17e specifications, the A20/RAM report and the 60Hz report. The 17e's $599 price is a reference point, not a Neo price forecast.
The car charger is advertised for compatible existing iPhones. A 25W charger cannot make a 15W-limited phone charge at 25W; Neo compatibility remains unknown. See ZEERA's 15W vs 25W test for an existing 18 Pro Max.
Why might Apple choose a Neo name?
This is an editorial inference. “Neo” could let Apple sell an affordable iPhone as a distinct, colorful family rather than as a reduced-cost member of a numbered series. The four finishes ZEERA has heard about would support that positioning. Apple's existing MacBook Neo shows the company already uses the word, but it offers no evidence of an iPhone naming change.
The alternative is simple: Apple could retain iPhone 18e and add new colors while keeping its established entry-level naming. The name and palette should therefore be tracked independently.
Buy iPhone 17e now or wait for a possible Neo?
Your current phone needs replacing, $599 fits your budget, and you want a known A19/48MP/MagSafe device. Compare case fit before ordering; ZEERA's 17e MagSafe case guide covers today's model.
Your phone works well and you care more about a possible A20 update, a brighter finish or seeing whether Apple actually launches an 18e or Neo. There is no guaranteed Neo launch to wait for.
Do not buy a Neo-specific case or camera protector based on renders. Measurements and accessory fit need a shipping product.
FAQ
Has Apple announced an iPhone Neo?
No. As of October 5, 2026, Apple has not announced an iPhone by that name.
Will iPhone Neo be cheaper than iPhone 17e?
There is no credible Neo price yet. The 17e starts at $599 in the US; applying that figure to Neo would be guesswork.
Does iPhone Neo have Dynamic Island?
Unconfirmed. A pill-shaped opening in a render is an illustration, not proof of the final display hardware or software features.
Will iPhone 17e cases fit iPhone Neo?
Unknown. Camera cutout, button positions and dimensions have not been verified. Buy a case for a confirmed model only.
Is iPhone Neo the same phone as iPhone 18e?
That is one possible interpretation, but no reliable source has confirmed a rebrand. The name used in current public roadmap reporting remains iPhone 18e.
