1. iPhone 18 Pro & iPhone 18 Pro Max
Apple's first 2nm A20 Pro chip
The iPhone 18 Pro generation is expected to move to Apple's new A20 Pro chip built on a 2nm process.
For buyers, the most important improvement may not be peak speed. A smaller process should give Apple more room to improve power efficiency, sustained performance, battery life and on-device AI workloads.

The biggest product of the event may not be the iPhone 18 Pro at all.
Apple's first foldable iPhone, widely referred to as the iPhone Ultra, is expected to use a book-style design with an approximately 5.3–5.5-inch outer display and a roughly 7.7–7.8-inch inner display.
When unfolded, it should offer a much larger canvas for photos, video, web browsing and multitasking.
The most important questions will be practical ones: How visible is the crease? How thin is it when folded? How durable is the hinge? And how well does iOS 27 adapt between the outer and inner displays?

Touch ID could return on Apple's most premium iPhone
The foldable design may also force Apple to rethink Face ID.
The iPhone Ultra is expected to be extremely thin when unfolded, leaving less room for the full TrueDepth hardware used by Face ID.
Current reports therefore point to Touch ID built into the power button.
That would create an unusual reversal: fingerprint authentication could return not on a budget iPhone, but on Apple's newest and potentially most expensive flagship.
3. There may be no regular iPhone 18 on stage
One of the biggest surprises could actually be a missing product.
