The difference is not limited to a specification sheet. In MKBHD’s early iPhone Duo coverage, the inner-camera sample looks far softer than footage from a normal iPhone front camera.

Fine facial detail is reduced. Contrast looks flatter, bright areas can develop a hazy glow, and the image has the processed look often associated with under-display cameras.
