Do the new cameras change everyday photos and video?
The most useful improvements are more control and more versatile secondary cameras. The 15 Pro Max has a 48MP main, 12MP ultrawide, 12MP 5x optical telephoto and 12MP front camera. The 18 Pro Max has 48MP across all three rear cameras and an 18MP Center Stage front camera.
There is a zoom nuance: the 18 Pro Max uses a 4x optical telephoto and creates an 8x optical-quality image from its higher-resolution sensor. Its 8x option is not a separate 8x optical lens. What are the drawbacks of leaving the 15 Pro Max?
Weight is the most immediate one: 249 g versus 221 g, a 28 g increase. The new body is also wider, taller and thicker. If you bought the titanium 15 Pro Max because it felt lighter than older Pro Max models, handle an 18 Pro Max before paying for the upgrade.
